Privacy, Safeguarding & Participation Policy
This policy sets out how we protect children’s safety, manage personal data, and ensure that all participants enjoy a positive experience during our football sessions. By enrolling your child in our football programme, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to the following terms.
1. Safeguarding and Welfare
Kick-a-Bout is committed to providing a safe and inclusive environment for all children.
All staff, coaches, and volunteers are DBS checked and follow our Safeguarding Children Policy, in line with NSPCC and UK Coaching guidance.
If you have any safeguarding concerns, please speak to David Allen immediatley.
2. Photography, Filming and Social Media
For the protection and privacy of all participants, parents and guardians are not permitted to film, photograph, or record any part of the football sessions unless explicit written permission has been granted by Kick-a-Bout in advance.
This policy helps to ensure that no images of children are shared or stored without consent, in accordance with UK GDPR and child safeguarding standards.
Kick-a-Bout may occasionally arrange official photography or filming for promotional or training purposes. In these cases, separate consent will be requested from parents or guardians before any images are taken or used.
3. Data Protection and Privacy
We collect and process personal information (e.g. parent contact details, emergency contact information, and medical details) solely for the purpose of managing your child’s participation in our classes.
All data is handled in accordance with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.
Information will not be shared with third parties except where required for safeguarding, emergency, or legal reasons.
You have the right to access, correct, or request deletion of your personal data at any time by contacting david@kick-a-bout.com.
4. Health, Safety, and Participation
Football is a physical activity and, as with all sports, some risk of injury is inherent.
Kick-a-Bout and its coaches will take all reasonable measures to minimise risks through proper supervision, safe equipment, and age-appropriate activities.
Parents and guardians are responsible for ensuring their child:
Wears appropriate footwear and clothing.
Brings a drink for hydration.
Wears shin pads during all sessions for children aged 5 and above.
Please inform the coach of any medical conditions, allergies, or additional needs before the first session.
5. Behaviour and Conduct
We promote respect, teamwork, and fair play.
Aggressive, discriminatory, or unsafe behaviour by children or parents will not be tolerated and may result in removal from the programme.
6. Agreement

You have read and agree to this Privacy, Safeguarding & Participation Policy.
You consent to the processing of your and your child’s data for the purposes stated.
